Job Description

Recruitment:
Ongoing Position for Spring 2026 The Department of Physical Education & Human Performance (PEHP) at Central Connecticut State University seeks adjunct faculty for EXS 211 Anatomy & Physiology 1 Lab & EXS 212 Anatomy & Physiology 2 Lab in our undergraduate Exercise Science program. Courses are taught on campus and appointments by semester. EXS 211 Anatomy & Physiology 1
Lab:
Explores hands-on examination of the skeletal system, integumentary and bone history, anatomical planes of movement, and the articular and muscle origin and insertions EXS 212 Anatomy & Physiology 2
Lab:
Explores measurement of physiological variables in the nervous, respiratory, cardiovascular, and skeletal muscle systems
Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or higher in the related field as specified above
  • Professional experience that is current, substantial in terms of duration and level of responsibility
  • Commitment to serving culturally, ethnically and linguistically diverse communities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree in the related field as specified above
  • Professional Certification the related field as specified above
  • Strong teaching skills, and have an ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning
  • Evidence of quality teaching experience Candidates must demonstrate appropriate mastery of the subject area; provide students with appropriate learning materials; evaluate students' performance and provide effective feedback to guide student learning and success; keep samples of students' work for accreditation purposes; and contribute to maintaining an inclusive and collaborative environment.
