DPW Laborer

• Full-Time | Village of Elk Rapids, MI Position Overview The Village of Elk Rapids is seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join the Department of Public Works (DPW) as a full-time Laborer. This position is responsible for a wide range of manual labor and maintenance duties that support the Village's infrastructure, utilities, and public spaces. Why Elk Rapids?

• Maintain and repair streets, sidewalks, parks, and public facilities
• Assist in water distribution and wastewater system operations
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and light equipment
• Perform seasonal duties such as mowing, trimming, and leaf pickup
• Participate in snow and ice removal operations, including plowing and salting
• Respond to emergencies and participate in on-call rotations
• Follow all safety procedures and workplace standards
• Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to obtain CDL preferred
• Ability to perform heavy physical labor in all weather conditions
