What You Should Know About The Role:
The Deposit Operations Officer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Bank's deposit banking operations. This includes managing deposit functions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing support to both customers and employees. The role involves training staff, developing business plans, and serving as a relationship manager for major depositors, while also ensuring the department's operational efficiency and adherence to policies.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises the Deposit Operations personnel Develop, motivate, and train staff, including planning and delegating work assignments and projects Evaluate performance, administer quarterly touch points and deliver performance evaluations Establish clear expectations and hold employees accountable to performance and behaviors aligned with our culture Provide a work environment that stimulates positive energy, creativity, and teamwork
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Monitor employees' workflow and distribution of work and assign to staff accordingly. Recommend and implement changes within the department. Increase efficiency of the department's workflow and reduce processing time or costs. Lead employee for the annual ACH Audit and assist with FDIC or State Exams. Responsible for timely follow-up of any exam exceptions. Also assist with report creation for other exams/audits requested by other employees for said exams/audits. Review and revise/update policies at least annually and at any needed change: ACH Policy and ACH Risk Assessment Wire Policy Garnishment and Levy Policy Lead for the wire department. Ensure efficient processing of wires by the staff. Respond to any audit/exam findings and adjust processes accordingly.
Review daily:
cash position balancing, EIM NSF and non-posts, and employee department metrics Review weekly and monthly account recons including cashiers' checks, money orders, loan disbursement checks, ACH, ACH settlement, COD & SAV IRA interest checks, expense checks, gift cards, and SS & WH tax.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
Admin for employee user codes in the core, BBM Fire, BBM International and TIB. Participate as part of the following committees/teams: IT Committee Cybersecurity Incident Response Team (CIRT) Business Continuity Committee FINCEN processing (as needed). Online Banking/Business Online/CheckFree Bill Pay/Mobile Banking/Merchant Capture/Zelle backup Monitoring reports for Bank balance. Research and resolve offages. Back up Cash Balancing - Retail Ops. Required Skills & Attributes:

Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent Three (3) to five (5) years of banking experience, preferably within deposit operations or retail banking Knowledge of deposit operations functions including ACH wires, exception processing, debit cards, online banking, and item processing Experience with core banking systems and digital banking platforms Proficient in
Microsoft Office Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for up to 8 hours a day Ability to work on a computer for extended period of time.
Pay Range:
$61,300 - $76,500 annually
Compensation Overview:
The anticipated hiring range for this position is $61,300 - $76,500 which reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for candidates who meet the standard qualifications for the role. Actual base pay will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, experience, and location.
