Job Description
Overview This position is responsible for most aspects of external electronic transfers received or initiated by Central Bank Illinois including, but not limited to, Quad City Bank & Trust. This includes the processing of incoming and outgoing files in the areas of domestic and international wire transfer, ACH, external funding, deposit placement services and various regulatory reports.
The responsibilities include:
compliance, documentation, segregation of duties, notification, verifications, and records retention, as well as other responsibilities as may be determined from time to time by the bank, accountants, auditors, or regulators. Responsibilities Verify and send outgoing domestic and international wire transfers, both in-house and internet banking. Process incoming domestic and international wire transfers. Work with branch and/or department to coordinate wire transfer efforts. Perform OFAC check on both incoming and outgoing wires. Maintain wire transfer logs, bank's Fed balance at a predetermined level, and wire records. Maintain additional records for wires exceeding $3,000. Keep aware of wire agreements on file and request new agreements from branch when necessary. Daily balancing and Verafin scan of wires Create/update wire templates as needed for efficient operation of repetitive wire information. Enter and balance Cashier's Checks/Money Orders/Expense checks on core system. Assist with exception listing review for accuracy. Upload and process incoming ACH files throughout the day. Process return and correction entries for incoming entries. Maintain appropriate records for all received ACH transactions. Verify for IAT and OFAC compliance. Process and send outgoing ACH daily. Process ACH return activity and corrections by notifying appropriate individuals at each originating company in the prescribed manner. Support document processing in Aurora to ensure accuracy, corrections and 2nd indexing in Aurora Document. To help maintain file accuracy Cross-train and perform back-up for various duties as needed for Deposit Operations Specialist II, Deposit Operations CIS Specialist and Deposit Operations Account Specialist. Assists in-house, telephone and internet banking customers with checkbook reconcilement, check/ACH verification, in depth understanding of service charges and account requirements to assist internal and external customers with inquiries, and other account questions or problems. Assists in all other areas as requested from Deposit Operations Officer, Deposit Operations Account Supervisor and Deposit Operations Wire Reconciliation Supervisor. Qualifications Ability to operate Personal Computer, internet and computer programs, such as Excel/Word, Shazam Core Systems, WebPoint and Aurora Document Imaging. Ability to operate office machines, including calculator, fax, copier, and scanner, etc. Ability to multi-task while handling multiple job responsibilities and deadlines simultaneously. Ability to deal effectively, tactfully and patiently with internal and external customers. Requires logical thinking, attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to coordinate and prioritize work duties. Ability to define problems precisely and clearly. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Must be able to recognize inaccuracies and communicate with departmental co-workers and front line staff to facilitate understanding of preferred procedures and corrective actions needed. Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with co-workers in his/her department and all branches. Ability to grasp new information and retain it. Must be trustworthy and discreet regarding confidential information of Central Bank customers. Must be self-motivated to keep abreast of work related processes and procedures. Ability to work without a high degree of supervision. Requires minimum of 12 months to 2 years of experience and working knowledge of accepted banking procedures or experience in a related industry.Pay:
