Job Description
SUMMARY The Deputy Administrator
- HHS•Office of Finance serves as a senior financial and administrative leader, reporting to the Administrator of the Office of Finance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Strategic Financial Leadership Partner with the Administrator of the Office of Finance to establish and implement a unified financial strategy across all program offices. Lead the development of standardized fiscal policies, procedures, and internal controls across divisions. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability. Provide high-level fiscal analysis to support executive decision-making, including forecasting, cost containment, and resource allocation strategies. 2. Direct Oversight- Aging Services & Community Connections Provide full administrative and fiscal oversight of the Office of Aging Services and Office of Community Connections budgets, operations, and staff.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related area with five years of related experience. Minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible financial management experience , including leadership in public sector or human services environments. Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-source funding streams (federal, state, county). Proven supervisory experience, including oversight of managers or professional staff.This position requires clearances:
Child Abuse History Clearance, PA Criminal Record Check and FBI Fingerprint. In office presence is required as directed by your supervisor or administrator. Preferred skills and Competencies Strong knowledge of governmental accounting, grant management, and regulatory compliance. Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels. Experience driving process improvement and organizational change. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across multiple stakeholders and departments. High level of integrity and accountability in managing public funds.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
