Deputy Treasurer

Southeast Fountain Schools has an opening for Deputy Treasurer. Internal and external candidates will be considered. The Deputy Treasurer is responsible for the efficient, effective processing of all purchase orders and claim functions and does related work as required. The Deputy Treasurer will also be cross trained in many components of the functions of the Treasurer and the Payroll Specialist and will be expected to perform those duties when needed. The selected candidate must be willing to keep current in all areas of responsibility. This is a 12 month (260 days) position. Qualifications Knowledge of current office methods and procedures Ability to work independently Ability to maintain a good working relationship with all co-workers and the general public Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods Ability to organize and prioritize workload Ability to monitor and meet timelines/deadlines Skill in performing mathematical concepts Knowledge of general accounting principles and internal control standards High school graduate; Associate degree and experience in accounting preferred Holding or willingness to obtain Notary Public certification Must be bondable
