Dermatology Medical Assistant

Job Summary Arsenault Dermatology is looking for an experienced Dermatology Medical Assistant to provide high-quality support in our dermatology practice. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of dermatologic treatments, patient care.. You will work closely with our skilled dermatologists and medical team to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. Responsibilities Prepare and educate patients for their appointments and procedures, explaining treatment options and post-care instructions. Perform clinical duties such as taking medical histories, measuring vital signs, and preparing exam rooms. Maintain patient records and document treatments in electronic medical records (EMR) system. Provide excellent patient care, addressing patient concerns and assisting with any questions about treatment or aftercare. Assist with the setup and cleanup of surgical equipment, ensuring all supplies are properly sterilized and organized. Help manage patient flow in the office to ensure timely appointments and minimal wait times. Skills High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant certification preferred. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as a Dermatology Medical Assistant. Strong knowledge of dermatology terminology, procedures, and patient care protocols. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with EMR systems (preferably EMA). Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, medical staff, and physicians. Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
