Studio T Arts & Entertainment (STAE) is a nonprofit organization with over 25 years of excellence in arts education and community impact. This position is a teaching-focused role , responsible for delivering high-quality instruction during summer camps using our curriculum. As a representative of STAE, the Instructor is expected to inspire youth through engaging instruction, performance preparation, and positive relationship-building with students, families, and school partners. This role centers on instruction, student growth, performance readiness, and program engagement . This paid Summer Camp Teaching Artist position is perfect for energetic educators passionate about arts integration who want to make a meaningful difference this summer! Duties Lead classes in your field (media arts, dance, music, OR visual arts) to students ages 5+ that promote creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork among children of diverse backgrounds. Assist students during snack and lunch break and during rotation Assist with student check in if needed Take roll and submit roll sheets to supervisor Attend team meetings Submit daily reports Ensure a safe environment for students Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe and respectful environment conducive to learning and artistic exploration. Collaborate with camp staff to organize end of the week showcases that highlight campers' artistic achievements. Proven teaching ability with classroom management skills that foster positive behavior and engagement among children of all ages. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with camp staff, parents, and children to create a supportive learning environment. Passion for arts education combined with a lively attitude that inspires creativity and confidence in young learners.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
