Day Program Visual Arts Instructor Pyramid Inc. - 5.0 Tallahassee, FL Job Details Full-time From $16.50 an hour 11 days ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Paid time off 401(k) matching Qualifications High school diploma or GED Driver's License Driving Direct support Visual arts painting Full Job Description Pyramid Studios-Tallahassee is seeking a full time Art Instructor to teach visual arts with a focus on painting to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Some professional visual arts experience is helpful, but not required. Experience with intellectual and developmental disabilities is not required but helpful. Behavior tech experience a plus! Personal care is required with this position. Pyramid Studios-Tallahassee is a non-profit adult day training program. Visual and performing arts are core components of our service. Students perform and exhibit statewide.
Responsibilities include:
Teaching art, specifically painting techniques, to students with disabilities Developing short-term objectives for students Developing classes, projects and curricula Being a dependable role model for students Determining interests and abilities of students Performing personal care Requirements Valid Florida driver's license, safe driving record, and 5 years driving experience. High school diploma or equivalent Three or more visual arts-related skills and ability to share with students Successful Successful Level II Background Screening (For more info, visit https://info.flclearinghouse.com). Successful drug test Valid driver's license Starting pay is $16.50, more depending on education and experience. Benefits include group health insurance, 401k (matching), paid leave and holidays. Work schedule is during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. Pyramid is a drug-free and tobacco-free workplace and complies with all federal, state and local EOE and ADA protocols.
