We are looking for a Hawaiian Cultural Ambassador who can transform their time here into a life-long connection to the islands. This position is about cultural exposure and empathy. We need someone with the heart to share the soul of Hawaiʻi (its language, its stories, and its values) to help our military families develop a deep, empathetic respect for the land and people that host them. What You Will Do As our Cultural Ambassador, you will be a key part of our K-6 Enrichment Rotation . You will work with every grade level, ensuring that every child at Shafter develops a strengthened sense of

Belonging, Responsibility, Excellence, Aloha, Total Well-being, and Hawaiʻi.Core Responsibilities:
Cultural Exposure & Storytelling:
Deliver engaging lessons for grades K-6 that focus on Hoʻokipa (hospitality), Mālama ʻĀina (stewardship), and basic ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi.Rotation Teaching:
Manage a consistent schedule, rotating through classes each day to ensure all students receive cultural enrichment.Lesson Creation:
Design creative, place-based lesson plans that align with the Nā Hopena Aʻo (HĀ) framework, specifically fostering a "Sense of Place" and "Belonging."Classroom Management:
Maintain a positive, "Aloha-filled" learning environment where students feel safe, respected, and curious.Military Community Bridge:
Act as a warm "Welcome" to military families, helping them navigate and appreciate the local culture through the eyes of their children. The Schedule This is a part-time position designed to support our school's weekly enrichment flow:Days:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.Hours:
