Drake University's Department of Music (School of Fine Arts) is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music. Job Summary:
Drake University invites candidates interested and experienced in teaching studio voice to undergraduate students (music majors, music minors, non-major participants); other duties possible depending on the candidate's expertise and availability of teaching opportunities. This is a part-time adjunct position instructing Studio Voice MUS 171. Teaching load is dependent on enrollment needs of the Department.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree or Artist's diploma at the Graduate level required.
Preferred Qualifications:
A demonstrated excellence in applied voice teaching and studio development; strong collaborative skills and a commitment to supporting the continued growth and excellence of the Voice, Opera, and Choral programs; and an established record as a vocal artist and teacher with a regional recognition. Strong classroom teaching skills and experience are desirable but not required.
