Artistic Director — Assabet Valley MastersingersMetroWest/Central Massachusetts | Part-time, Contractor The Assabet Valley Mastersingers (AVM), a respectedmunity chorus with a 49-yeartradition of choral-orchestral performance in suburban Massachusetts, seeks an Artistic Director to lead theanization into its next chapter. The Role The AD provides full artistic leadership of AVM's chorus, soloists, and orchestra —selecting repertoire, leading rehearsals and concerts, shaping the season, and serving as the public artistic voice of theanization.
Qualifications:
We are Looking For Proven choral conductor with experience in large-scale choral-orchestral repertoire Strong rehearsal technique and the ability to inspire amitted volunteer ensemble An artistic vision that honors AVM's legacy while embracing new possibilities Collaborative instincts andfort working within a nonprofit governance structure Reliable accessibility to the MetroWest/Greater Boston area Able to take over in the Summer of 2027 Advanced degree in choral conducting or music education preferred. Compensation Commensurate with experience and achievement.
