Overview Join our vibrant dessert shop team as a Dessert Shop Team Member at Whipped & Dipped, located near Ferris State! Duties Prepare and assemble a variety of desserts, including dipped treats, whipped toppings, and specialty confections with precision and care Operate POS systems to process transactions efficiently and accurately Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and assisting with selections Upsell products to enhance guest experience and increase sales through friendly recommendations Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food prep areas, dining spaces, and equipment to ensure food safety compliance Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties Restock supplies, manage inventory levels, and ensure all food handling procedures meet sanitation guidelines Skills Experience in food preparation, food service, or quick service restaurant environments is highly desirable Familiarity with POS systems such for efficient sales processing Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and ability to engage guests effectively Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks during busy hours seamlessly Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy Previous experience in retail or grocery store settings is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key Join us to bring joy through delicious desserts while developing your skills in a lively team environment!
