Position Overview East Valley Children's Theatre (EVCT) is seeking a creative, collaborative and highly organized Producing Artistic Director to oversee the organization's main stage productions. This leadership role is responsible for collaborating on the artistic vision for EVCT seasons, assembling artistic teams, and maintaining the relationship with our performance venue, The Mesa Arts Center. This role will be pivotal in helping to guide EVCT's long-term growth and sustainability within the East Valley community. Oversee Production Programming Propose the annual mainstage performances and budgets for our 5 mainstage shows Collaborate with Operations Manager regarding contracts Identify and select 5 show mainstage season each year for board approval Assemble production team for each production Ability to step into production roles as needed Oversee all audition requirements and needs, communicating with key stakeholders Coordinate regular Production Meetings for each mainstage production Facilitate the volunteer needs with the Volunteer Coordinator Participate in the development of budgets and collaborate on contractual production needs with EVCT Operations Manager Serve as primary Mesa Arts Center liaison Coordinate with EVCT Operations Manager regarding ticket sales, promotions, comp tickets, settlements etc… Serve on committee for the annual selection process of the Aspiring Playwright Contest winner Coordinate curricular efforts with the education director to reflect the themes within mainstage productions Support marketing efforts for mainstage productions Serve as primary grant writer for at least 3 grant opportunities per year and provide support to the volunteer grant writer as needed. Collaborate with other team members to create season calendar of events Leadership Responsibilities Operations Focus Provide guidance to contractors and staff in a way that aligns with EVCT's mission Collaborate with EVCT management to identify talent and participate in hiring processes Collaborate with organization management to develop budgets Participate in monthly financial reporting as required Attend staff meetings Board Focus Attend monthly Board Meetings, as needed Create monthly programming report for the Board of Directors Work with

to update yearly operational plan, and maintain goals/objectives Participate in creation and maintenance of 3-5 year strategic plan Cultivate and maintain community partnerships by attending Mesa Chamber opportunities, various community events, EVCT fundraisers Participate in staff events and responsibilities like house managing productions, Troupe Showcases, Annual Gala, and other special events as scheduled Desired Qualifications Experience in nonprofit arts administration Strong directing resume, specifically within youth theatre Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills Experience creating and managing budgets, systems, and staff Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments and with Board of Directors Compensation Salary
