Teaching Artist Ktchn28 Frisco, TX Job Details Part-time $23.64 - $28.47 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Working with children Working with students Organizational skills Teacher-directed learning Teaching Full Job Description Kitchen28 is a contemporary art laboratory for children, rooted in the belief that artistic thinking develops through relationship with material, creative freedom and disciplined practice. We work with children not as students following instructions, but as artists in the making — sensitive, perceptive, and deeply honest. Our teaching artists are practicing artists who understand that working with children can sharpen their own creative voice and inspire them. We are currently looking for a Teaching Artist to join our studio community. Responsibilities Develop engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum goals and cater to varied skill levels and age groups Facilitate hands-on arts workshops, performances, or projects that encourage active participation and creativity Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and cultural backgrounds Collaborate with community partners, schools, or organizations to coordinate programs and outreach efforts Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to participants to nurture their artistic confidence and skills Maintain a safe, inclusive environment that promotes respect, curiosity, and exploration Document program activities, participant progress, and outcomes for reporting purposes Skills Excellent communication skills to effectively engage diverse audiences Ability to inspire creativity and foster a positive learning environment Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, program coordination, and record keeping Flexibility to adapt lessons based on participant needs and feedback Experience working in educational settings or community arts programs is preferred University experience or background in arts education enhances your suitability for this role
Pay:
$23.64 - $28.47 per hour
