Seattle Rep is seeking Teaching Artists to lead Young Rep (students aged 13-20) and Rep Pro (students 18+) classes. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and candidates are reviewed and offered assignments as program needs arise. Assignments offers are dependent on program demand, scheduling needs, individual expertise, and availability. Teaching Artists develop curriculum and provide theatre instruction to students aged 13-20 and/or adult students who are seeking to grow their professional skillset. Areas of instruction may include stage acting, on-camera acting, design, stage management, movement, puppetry, physical comedy, playwriting, devising, and more. Seattle Rep seeks to program classes that are challenging and unique, so applicants are encouraged to list their qualifications/areas of expertise in detail. This is a contract position and not considered staff.Typical Duties Include:
Curriculum Development & Program Implementation Develop and implement curriculum for students aged 13-20 (Young Rep) or adult students (Rep Pro) Support program goals by tailoring instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners Communication & Collaboration Collaborate and communicate effectively with fellow teaching artists, education support people, and program staff Build and maintain positive rapport with students Collaborate with Education & Community Programs department staff to support program delivery and alignment Organizational Culture & Equity Contribute positively organization's culture, embodying Seattle Rep's mission, vision, and values. Foster community amongst studentsMinimum Qualifications:
Commitment to cultivating an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace via decisive action including consistently seeking out opportunities for self and community improvement in the areas of racial equity, accessibility, gender inclusivity, and cultural sensitivity. Bachelor's Degree or at least one year of relevant field experience teaching Theatre Education In depth knowledge of areas of theatre and the ability to teach effectively Ability to pass a background check Reliable transportation to get to Seattle Center Proficiency in email communication Excellent communication and relationship-building skillsDesired Qualifications:

Teaching occurs at or near Seattle Rep (155 Mercer St, Seattle, WA 98109) Teaching Artists are required to get to and from Seattle Rep independently.
