Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Audio & Visual Technician to join our growing team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of residential and commercial audio-visual and smart automation systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, customer-focused, and committed to delivering exceptional service and high-quality workmanship. Responsibilities Install, configure, and troubleshoot audio/video systems including speakers, displays, surveillance cameras, networking equipment, AV racks, smart lighting, automated shades, and related AV components. Work with home automation and control systems including Control4, Lutron HomeWorks, Crestron/Crestron Home, Savant, and other smart home platforms. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to complete installations accurately and efficiently. Assist with troubleshooting AV, networking, automation, and low-voltage/electrical-related issues in the field. Perform low-voltage cabling, wiring, rack installation, trim-out, and equipment installation while following industry best practices and safety standards. Collaborate with team members, contractors, electricians, and other trades to complete projects successfully. Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites. Provide excellent customer service and educate clients on system functionality and operation. Qualifications Previous experience in AV integration, smart home automation, low-voltage wiring, networking, electrical work, or related technical fields preferred. Knowledge of AV systems, structured cabling, networking fundamentals, lighting control systems, and smart home technologies. Experience with platforms such as Control4, Lutron, Crestron, Savant, Araknis, Ruckus Networks, UniFi/Ubiquiti, Sonos, or similar systems is highly desirable. Basic understanding of electrical and low-voltage systems is important for this position. Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and control system issues. Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation. Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools safely. Positive attitude, professionalism, strong communication skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Willingness to learn and grow within the company. Valid driver's license required. Ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in active construction environments.
Pay:
$21.00 - $40.00 per hour
