About the Role As a member of our Client Services team, you'll be the go-to expert when an integrated AV system isn't behaving. You'll diagnose and resolve complex issues across conference rooms, boardrooms, digital signage, LED walls, and town-hall spaces — sometimes in a dedicated "managed services" role embedded with a single client, other times dispatched wherever you're needed most. You'll also help shape the team. Our Service Technicians look to you for mentorship, and our Engineering, Programming, Project Management, and Sales teams rely on your field insight when problems call for a new design or retrofit. $42-$47/hour - eligible for overtime What You'll Do Deliver white-glove AV service and support to clients across a wide range of industries. Own end-to-end troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues — diagnostics, DSPs, control processors, touch displays, display and audio connectivity, meeting-quality issues, networks, cabling, break/fix, AV racks, and more. Provide Managed AV Services when needed, which may include 2-5 days a week on-site at a dedicated client, with dispatched calls on other days. Support high-visibility meetings, events, and town halls — operating mixing boards, running scripted video content, coordinating with speakers and presenters, and keeping the run of show on track. Perform preventative maintenance and room checks (remote and on-site) per industry and manufacturer best practices. Decommission, pack, store, and recommission AV systems as client needs evolve. Initiate and follow up on RMAs for defective equipment and replacement products. Partner with PPI engineers, programmers, project managers, and sales to solve issues that call for new design or retrofit work. Deliver organized, ongoing client training that drives adoption and confidence in the technology. Keep service call status current and customer-facing; maintain accurate manuals, drawings, and as-built schematics. Mentor fellow Service Technicians and help raise the bar across the team. Spot and flag new business opportunities aligned with PPI's service offerings. What You Bring Must-haves 3+ years of hands-on AV service and integration experience. Proven expertise in the design, integration, and programming of AV systems. Advanced-level understanding of signal flow, control systems, and IP networking. Experience troubleshooting complex, multi-vendor AV environments. Live event chops:
in-room and conferencing sound reinforcement via mixing board or control system; scripted video switching and content management; on-site coordination with event stakeholders; and a punctual, preemptive, engaged presence when the room is full. Comfort with cloud-based collaboration platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and similar). Literacy in Windows and macOS environments. Ability to read and update technical drawings and schematics. Strong organization, efficiency, and attention to detail — you sweat the small stuff so the client doesn't have to. Excellent verbal and written communication; a professional, polished presence in front of executive-level clients. Willingness to roll your sleeves up, work independently, and respond to urgent situations outside of traditional business hours when the moment calls for it. Certifications We'd Love to See CTS (AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist). Advanced-level certifications in Crestron, Extron, Biamp, and Q-SYS. Network+ and/or CCNA. Any combination of:
OSHA 30, Biamp Tesira forte, QSC Q-SYS Level 1, Extron Control Professional, AVIXA Networking Technology, Crestron Foundations of Programming, Crestron DM Certified Engineer, CompTIA A+, Biamp VoIP, Crestron Certified Audio. Nice to Have Experience with AV-related programming languages and methodologies. Project management experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with broader industry practices.
