We specialize in custom audio/video systems, home automation, networking, lighting control, security, and smart home technologies. We are seeking a motivated, self-driven Mid-Level A/V Technician to join our growing team and help deliver exceptional smart home experiences. Position Summary The Mid-Level A/V Technician is responsible for the installation, configuration, programming, and support of residential audio/video and smart home systems. This role is ideal for a highly motivated self-starter who can work independently, take ownership of projects, and contribute to the successful completion of high-end residential installations. Key Responsibilities Install residential audio/video systems, including TVs, speakers, projectors, and distributed audio systems Perform pre-wire, trim-out, equipment installation, and system commissioning Program and configure smart home platforms including Control4, Savant, Crestron Home, and/or Lutron Install and support networking equipment, Wi-Fi systems, surveillance cameras, access control, and intercom systems Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams Rack and dress equipment using industry best practices Troubleshoot and resolve system issues independently and efficiently Document completed work and communicate project progress to management Maintain a professional appearance and provide exceptional customer service while working in clients' homes Coordinate effectively with project managers, builders, designers, and homeowners Follow company safety standards and installation procedures QualificationsRequired Minimum 5 years of current, hands-on programming experience with Control4, Savant, Crestron Home, Lutron, or equivalent smart home automation platforms 3-7 years of residential A/V, low-voltage, or home automation installation experience Strong understanding of structured cabling, networking, audio/video distribution, and low-voltage systems Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents Strong organizational and communication skills Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor Self-starter with the ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of assigned projects Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on ladders, in attics, and crawl spaces Preferred Experience with CCTV, access control, and enterprise-grade networking systems Industry certifications such as CEDIA, ESPA, DHTI+, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent Experience working in luxury residential environments Advanced networking knowledge including router, switch, and Wi-Fi deployment Why Join FulTech Solutions?
