Job Description

Posting Details Position Information Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and must maintain authorization throughout employment. This position is not eligible for sponsorship. This position is contingent upon the availability of sufficient funding. Position Title CIA Lead Technician Position Summary The ideal candidate has a strong working knowledge of live production technologies, adapts quickly to changing event needs, and collaborates effectively under the Technical Director. This role is a part-time position and will not exceed 30 hours per week. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with setup, operation, and strike for live events, performances, lectures, meetings, and special programs. Basic operation and support of playback systems including ProPresenter, QLab, and other media servers. Assist the Technical Director by leading setup / tear down crews, facilitating rehearsals and performances after hours, and unlocking / locking theater. Support lighting setup, patching, programming, and basic cue operation. Assist with Barco projection systems including cabling, alignment, and playback. Support audio setups including microphones, stage plots, monitors, and signal routing. Assist with operation and maintenance of advanced theatrical lighting systems, audio consoles, and fly systems (as permitted). Coordinate with Technical Director on stage layouts, artist needs, and backstage flow. Run cues for rehearsals and shows (lights, sound, video, or deck positions) as assigned. Required Qualifications High School Diploma and three years of related work experience are required. Preferred Qualifications Certifications, Licenses, Restrictions none Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: sit, use hands to handle office supplies, operate computer and other office equipment, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to: reach with hands and arms, walk, and stand. The employee is occasionally required to: stoop, climb, and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
