- As an Audio/Visual Technician, you are primarily responsible for enhancing over-all job site productivity and ensuring high-quality work and installation of Audio/Visual systems.
The Audio/Visual Technician will be responsible to oversee multiple, multi-family projects with Audio/Visual applications with the goal of completing tasks with a high degree of quality & efficiency, while practicing professionalism for optimal job performance. This is an Audio Visual position that requires ability to manage jobs on and off-site, time management skills, hands-on technical skills, etcetera. Must have knowledge/installation of Audio/Visual wiring, components, hardware, installation, programming and quality control of installs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Installation and programming of Audio/Visual systems (Control4, URC, Crestron experience required)
- Trouble shooting Audio/Visual system failures/service calls
- Assisting in Design of Audio/Visual systems for multi-family projects
- Customer training on usage of Audio/Visual systems
- Inspect Audio/Visual wiring infrastructure
- Ability to assist employees in minor trainings if need be
- Understanding IP/Data communications protocols
- Ability to report back accurate details and information about job to superiors
- You should follow safe work practices and company and client work site policies. Safety is first in everything we do.
- Understand and implement installation of Audio/Visual systems (Control4, URC, Crestron experience required) including all aspects of the installation process. Other Audio/Visual systems knowledge is a+.
- Read and interpret all floor plans, drawings, specifications, and cut sheets
- You should ensure to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
- Always maintain a satisfactory compliance with customer and site requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Travel is a must as needed Monday-Friday, always having availability .
- Reliable transportation required (Truck/towing vehicle preferred)
- High school diploma or
GED Experience:
- Minimum 3 years' work experience in Audio/Visual systems in multi-family industry/construction environments.
Audio/Visual experience is necessary and required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- You should be able to understand and effectively explain aspects of the Audio/Visual system including cable pathways, termination, and testing.
This includes understanding applicable codes, standards, and industry-best practices and the ability to differentiate between them and make quality recommendations. The below skills are a requirement of the position, but not representative of all duties: Create bill of materials for purchasing. Review plans with project managers to ensure cabling is pulled to proper closets for component installation. You will be designing these systems from the ground up, including functionality of wall mounted touchpads, televisions, and occasionally, jumbotron/video walls. Understand programming of URC Total Control, Control4, Q-Sys, and Dante. Customer Focused mindset when working on project sites and training the end-users on how to use the product.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The standard work environment for this position is a construction environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, you are regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. You are frequently required to stand, walk, and constantly move around. You must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. You must regularly carry and climb ladders of various weights and heights often. TOOLS:
Some tools will be required to be provided by the employee during the first three months of service. These are small personal hand tools. All larger tools are provided at company expense and are to be secured & maintained by employee.
