Job Description
Position Overview Digital Scoreboards LLC is seeking an A/V Rack Builder to build and wire AV racks for scoreboard systems with speed, precision, and attention to detail. This role ensures all components are properly installed, labeled, and tested before deployment, supporting fast and reliable installations. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering and field teams to maintain quality standards and occasionally assist on-site for special projects. Key Responsibilities Assembly & Wiring Assemble and wire AV racks according to schematics and company standards. Label and test all components to ensure reliability and compliance with specifications. Troubleshoot build issues quickly and effectively. Collaboration & Quality Assurance Work closely with engineering and field teams to maintain consistency and quality. Suggest improvements to rack design and build processes for efficiency and reliability. Coordinate with partner suppliers for proper setup and installation support. Documentation & Organization Maintain organized workspaces and accurate build documentation. Ensure all assemblies meet company standards before deployment. Occasional On-Site Support Participate in occasional site visits to assist with installation and commissioning. Results Required Complete 95% of rack builds on schedule. Achieve zero build-related failures during commissioning. Maintain accurate documentation for all builds. Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in AV assembly, electronics, or technical wiring. Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic troubleshooting skills for AV systems. Ability to lift and handle AV equipment as required. Familiarity with LED and AV technology is a plus. Organized and self-motivated with excellent time management skills. Physical Demands Frequent standing, bending, and working at an assembly bench. Regular use of hands and fingers for wiring, crimping, labeling, and operating tools. Ability to lift and move AV equipment and rack components up to 50 pounds. Comfort working in a shop or warehouse environment with moderate noise. Mental Demands Strong attention to detail when wiring, labeling, and following schematics. Ability to troubleshoot issues and make sound decisions under time constraints. Capacity to manage multiple builds and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Consistent adherence to quality standards and documentation requirements. Emotional Demands Ability to remain calm and focused when schedules shift or urgent builds arise. Professional communication and collaboration with engineering and field teams. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and occasional on-site needs. Commitment to continuous improvement and receiving/giving constructive feedback. Work Environment This position operates in a professional office environment or approved remote setting. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets may be used. Occasional travel or extended hours may be required depending on business needs.
