Job Description

Job Description Most days this technician will be on campus supporting all classrooms and learning spaces. During the day, they will take troubleshooting calls, perform AV rounds to test and maintain classroom technology, and work on project-based tasks tied to a new building opening and the expansion of 70+ classrooms. Late afternoons are focused on closing tickets as classes wrap up. Ticket volume averages 5-6 per day, dropping closer to 1 per day at quarter end. This role plays a critical part in ensuring faculty can teach without technical disruptions and will help support both legacy AV systems and newer technologies as the campus modernizes.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily AV rounds to test, update, and maintain classroom and learning space technology Troubleshoot and resolve AV, videoconferencing, and presentation issues for faculty and staff Support live classes, lectures, and events including Zoom, Panopto, and in-room AV systems Document incidents, fixes, and inventory updates in service tickets and reports Assist with classroom inventory, installations, and preparation for new building openings Provide basic training and guidance to faculty and end users on classroom technology We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements 1+ year of experience supporting AV systems or electronics Experience troubleshooting classroom or live event AV technology under pressure Hands-on experience with video conferencing tools (Zoom, Teams, lecture capture) Strong customer service skills with the ability to support faculty in person Dependable, punctual, calm demeanor in a faculty-facing environment Experience with Crestron and/or QSYS systems Dante audio networking experience Installation background or experience supporting enterprise AV environments
