Event Management, Dining and Hospitality Job Summary Typical responsibilities include:
  • Assists with the setup, operation, and teardown of events and event-related production equipment, including lighting, sound, video, streaming, and other staging equipment.
  • Supports day-of-show operations by assisting with event execution, schedules, break coverage, and coordination with stage employees and event staff.
  • Helps identify, troubleshoot, and resolve basic technical and operational issues during events and setups.
  • Works with clients, stagehands, student employees, and full-time staff to support production and event needs.
  • Assists with training, guiding, and supporting student employees and stagehands during event operations.
  • Performs basic maintenance, cleaning, and organization of production equipment and work areas.
Additional Information Benefits include time away from work for eligible employees and the option to participate in the University's 403(b) Plan . Salary Rate / Pay Rate $18.25 per hour Required Qualifications 1. High school diploma or equivalent 2. Six (6) months of experience in technical operations of event production or closely related experience Work Hours Varies based on events. 28 hours per week maximum. Functional Expectations Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation: 1. Remain at workstation for extended periods. 2. Effectively communicate on a daily basis. 3. Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work. 4. Ability to lift/ push/pull up to 80 pounds. 5.
