Job Description

The AV Installation Technician is responsible for completing technical installation and management of audiovisual systems, including equipment rack fabrication, site preparation, termination and calibration of audio and video equipment, and implementation of control and video conferencing systems. What's in it for you: Competitive pay Company vehicle (after the first 90 days), plus mobile phone, laptop, and tools for business use 9 paid holidays annually 15 PTO days per year (pro-rated based on hire date) Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, retirement contributions, tuition reimbursement, and wellness benefits Employee engagement activities to promote a team-oriented environment Ongoing on-the-job and formal training, including certification opportunities What you'll do: Collaborate with project team members to ensure seamless execution of AV projects Pull multiple types of wiring according to design specifications without damaging cables or exceeding conduit limitations Safely rig devices according to safety standards and recommended practices Accurately terminate cables using appropriate connectors and tools Assemble equipment racks, manage cabling, and ensure proper organization, signal separation, and thermal management Test and verify system performance to ensure it meets project requirements Interpret project documentation (e.g., system diagrams, plans, and schedules) and complete installations accordingly Perform additional duties as needed
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in electrical, electronics, or communications preferred 2+ years of experience installing and troubleshooting AV systems Basic networking knowledge, including firmware updates and control system setup Familiarity with construction practices and the ability to read technical drawings is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets, PDF tools) Professionalism, adaptability, and strong work ethic
Physical Demands:
