Job Description A client of Insight Global is looking to hire a AV install technician to help lead one of their major projects in Lexington, KY.
Key responsibilities listed below:
- Lead and manage AV technicians on active job sites
- Perform hands‑on installation work alongside the team
- Oversee cable routing, termination, and conduit pathways
- Ensure cable lengths and installation methods meet project standards
- Maintain accountability and productivity across the crew
- Coordinate daily activities with the GC and other trades

- Basic knowledge of AV systems such as projectors, displays, speakers, microphones, video conferencing tools, digital signage, and control systems
- Experience installing and troubleshooting low‑voltage cabling (HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber), including conduit, cable trays, and similar pathways
- Ability to identify and fix basic issues with audiovisual equipment and systems
- Comfortable using hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and how they relate to AV systems (IP-based systems, streaming, cloud services)
- Must be able to pass a drug test Must have a valid Driver's License and Driving Record that matches customer driving standards CTS Certification
