Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for an experienced installation lead who takes pride in clean workmanship and well-run job sites. You'll own the field side of our luxury projects — from prewire through trim, rack build, and final walkthrough — leading a small crew and serving as the on-site point of contact for builders, trades, and clients. This is a senior role with real autonomy and direct collaboration with programming, project management, and ownership.
ABOUT COLORSTRIPP
Founded in 2012, Colorstripp Integration is a leading design-build firm specializing in premium low-voltage technology integration for luxury residential and commercial spaces. Our world-class team delivers sophisticated systems that genuinely improve how people live and work. This isn't a run-of-the-mill corporate job. We move fast, implement good ideas quickly, and expect our people to grow with us.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead field installations across luxury residential and commercial projects — prewire, trim-out, rack build, equipment install, and commissioning Pull, terminate, and test structured cable (Cat6/6A, fiber, speaker, coax) to professional standards Build and dress equipment racks — clean cable management, labeling, and documentation that reflects the quality of the systems we deliver Install and align displays, speakers, AV equipment, control processors, and networking hardware Mount and trim Lutron keypads, Ketra fixtures, and Savant interfaces in coordination with the programmer Deploy networking infrastructure — APs, switches, gateways — per the engineered design Run the day-to-day on site: schedule the crew, hit milestones, keep the site clean and professional Coordinate directly with Electrical, HVAC, Pool/Spa, framers, drywall, and the GC as the technical point of contact in the field Read and interpret architectural drawings, engineered schematics, and low-voltage plans; flag conflicts before they become problems Diagnose and resolve installation issues on site; escalate to programming or engineering when needed Maintain accurate field documentation — as-built drawings, cable labels, device locations, lighting zone records, and punch list status Mentor junior technicians on installation standards, jobsite conduct, and trade craft Represent Colorstripp on site with high-end clients — clean uniform, clean truck, clean work
WHAT YOU BRING
2+ years of hands-on installation experience in a residential or commercial integration environment Strong cabling fundamentals — pulling, terminating, and testing Cat6/6A, fiber, speaker, and coax Working knowledge of Savant, Lutron (Radio Ra3, Homeworks QS), and Ketra hardware installation; manufacturer certifications a significant advantage Solid networking fundamentals — IP addressing, basic VLAN concepts, UniFi platform install and provisioning Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, engineered schematics, and low-voltage plans Comfortable with hand tools, power tools, and standard low-voltage test gear (toner, certifier, fluke) Strong PC/Mac proficiency and familiarity with Apple iOS/Android products Excellent communication skills — you'll work directly with high-end clients, builders, and ownership Physically able to lift 50 lbs, work on ladders and lifts, and handle attic/crawlspace conditions Valid driver's license and clean driving record; able to travel locally daily Industry certifications (AVIXA CTS, Lutron, BICSI, Savant) are a strong advantage
BENEFITS
Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Vacation & Sick Time 401K Vehicle Allowance
