Audiovisual Technician

Duties Install, configure, and operate audiovisual equipment including projectors, microphones, speakers, video conferencing systems, and control panels. Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues related to AV systems promptly to minimize downtime. Conduct routine maintenance of AV equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for system setup and repairs. Manage cabling, wiring, and electrical connections following safety standards for low voltage systems. Assist with field service tasks such as site surveys, system testing, and on-site troubleshooting during live events. Collaborate with clients and event coordinators to understand technical requirements and deliver tailored AV solutions. Skills Strong electrical experience with a focus on low voltage wiring and cabling techniques. Proficiency in E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) systems and telecommunication setups. Hands-on experience with computer hardware, software troubleshooting, and system configuration. Mechanical knowledge for equipment installation, adjustments, and repairs using hand tools. Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately for system diagnostics. Knowledge of maintenance procedures for AV equipment to ensure reliability during critical events. Excellent field service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving in dynamic environments.
