Septem Technologies Septem Technologies is hiring a dependable and motivated AV Technician with 2+ years of experience in commercial audiovisual installations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, technology, and working in the field with a growing team. If you have experience with low-voltage wiring, AV equipment installation, and commercial job sites, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities Install commercial audiovisual systems including TVs, projectors, speakers, video walls, microphones, cameras, and control systems Run, label, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling including Cat5/Cat6, speaker wire, HDMI, and fiber when needed Mount displays, cameras, racks, and AV equipment professionally and securely Read and interpret floor plans, blueprints, and installation drawings Troubleshoot installation issues and assist with system configuration and testing Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites Work alongside lead technicians and project managers to complete installations efficiently and on schedule Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in AV installation, low-voltage cabling, structured cabling, or related technical field Strong understanding of commercial AV systems and installation standards Experience with displays, projectors, speakers, conferencing systems, and AV rack equipment Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, drills, ladders, and testing equipment Ability to lift and move equipment as required on job sites Strong communication skills, reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail Valid driver's license preferred OSHA, CTS, Crestron, Extron, QSC, or other AV-related certifications are a plus What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Consistent commercial installation work throughout NY, NJ, and CT Opportunity for career advancement within a growing AV company Hands-on experience with a wide range of commercial AV technologies and projects Supportive team environment with room to grow your technical skillset Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is dependable, coachable, detail-oriented, and passionate about technology and field installation work.
