Onsite role in 10 Hudson Yards, New York, NY 10001 12-month contract role, possible extension W2 Employment Payrate negotiable upon interview
Job Requirements:
We are seeking a temporary IT/AV Support Specialist to assist with technology operations and audiovisual support in the New York Office. This role is key to ensuring a seamless user experience across meetings, events, and day-to-day office operations. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of technical AV expertise, strong customer service, and general IT support capability.
Key Responsibilities:
Will support two locations: 55 Water Street Brooklyn, NY & 10 Hudson Yards, New York, NY 10001 Training and orientation of in-room systems to end users Manage and maintain AV systems within the office, ensuring reliability and performance Provide AV support for high-profile meetings, internal and external events, and live broadcasts Support and configure AV hardware including Dante, Crestron, BiAmp, QSC, and Logitech/Polycom systems Coordinate AV repairs and service with external vendors Route audio and video effectively across systems; troubleshoot backend AV issues (break/fix) Provide live meeting support across Zoom and Microsoft Teams platforms Will be responsible for supporting Manhattan office as well as Brooklyn office
Key Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in a combined AV/IT support role Proven experience with live AV event support, Dante, Crestron, BiAmp/QSC, Audiotechnica Microphones, Logitech, Varied AV Systems and connections, and related AV systems Ability to configure and support conferencing technologies and AV control systems Strong understanding of IP networking principles and ability to diagnose connectivity issues Experience supporting users in fast-paced, customer-facing environments Familiarity with Windows 11, macOS, Microsoft 365, and mobile device platforms Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent oral and written communication; ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users Ability to lift/move equipment (up to 30 lbs) and provide occasional early or late meeting support
Preferred Skills:
Dante audio networking knowledge Exposure to Slack, Trello, or other team collaboration tools Experience training users and creating user-friendly documentation Passion for AV systems and continuous learning in the tech space Project planning or project coordination experience
