Job Description

Lead AV Technician -
High-End Residential AV & Smart Home Installation Pay:
$35-$40 per hour 2 week trial period at $35
Location:
Long Island & Hamptons (In Person)
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You already know what you're doing. You've spent years in the field running wire, mounting TVs, troubleshooting systems, building racks, handling prewires, and walking jobs from rough-in to final trim. You don't need someone standing over your shoulder telling you how to fish a wall or terminate a rack. We give you the scope, the materials, and the game plan, and you know how to execute. You take pride in clean installs, tight wire management, organized racks, and systems that work properly the first time. You understand that in high-end homes, professionalism matters just as much as technical skill. You know how to speak to clients, respect their homes, and carry yourself like a professional. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone experienced, reliable, and comfortable handling real residential AV work in the field. If you come from music studios, live sound, production environments, or entertainment AV without real residential installation experience, this is probably not the right fit.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
5+ years of residential AV installation experience Strong understanding of residential AV systems Experience with: TV installation speaker systems prewires retrofits networking basics rack building troubleshooting Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable transportation (required) Comfortable working in high-end occupied homes Strong communication and professionalism Ability to lift equipment, work on ladders, and handle physically demanding installs
THE HONEST DEAL
Summers are busy. Long days, long drives, big projects. Winters can slow down, and we won't pretend otherwise. This role works best for someone who understands the seasonal nature of the industry and is comfortable with demand-based work. At Perfect Angle AV Solutions, we do things differently. Unlike other companies that treat technicians as just another worker, we care about your growth, potential, and financial success. We believe that when you succeed, we succeed which is why we provide clear pathways for advancement, fair pay structures that reward efficiency, and hands-on support to help you improve your skills. You won't be stuck in a dead-end job with no room to grow, we want you to thrive, make great money, and build a future with us.
COMPENSATION
$35-$40/hour 2 week trial period at $35 1099 preferred, not required Consistent work during busy season Opportunity for long-term growth with the company
Pay:
$35.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week Application Question(s): You're in an attic trying to fish a wire down into a wall. How do you locate the top plate to make your drop? You're in a customer's home and need to drill through a concrete foundation to run a wire outside. Walk me through your steps from start to finish. AV and smart home technology moves fast. What's something you've taught yourself recently and how did you learn it? Our clients are high end Hamptons homeowners. Walk me through how you present yourself and prepare before walking into a client's home. Our jobs are primarily in the Hamptons. That can mean a 2 hour drive each way depending on where you're coming from and during summer it can be unpredictable. How do you handle long commutes and what do you do to make sure you're arriving on time and ready to work?
