Audio Visual Technician First Baptist Church of Portland Portland, OR Job Details Part-time 1 hour ago Qualifications Presentation software Music mixing Live event AV production projects Live event audio projects Driver's License Event lighting equipment management Presentation preparation Projection system operation Full Job Description Overview A downtown church in Portland, OR is seeking an AV Lead or Tech available to work approximately 10 - 15 hours weekly. The ideal candidate will have a strong musical background with an ear for mixing and managing a full contemporary seasoned band with vocals, and mix and manage a weekly live-stream of the Sunday event. Required hours will include Tuesday evening rehearsals, Sunday morning worship and other times for special events. In addition, the candidate may earn extra money by providing AV assistance to groups that rent space within the building. Specific details and Requirements - The church utilizes an Allen and Heath SQ5 mixer, along with a Waves Soundgrid, and Pro Presenter 7 for slides. The candidate will need a working knowledge of these tools in order to be considered. -The church is large and old, and the sound booth is up a flight of stairs. The candidate will need to negotiate the stairs without a problem. -The platform is mapped for audio, and must be taken down and set up on occasion. The candidate will be required to learn the mapping and oversee the process as needed. -The candidate will be expected to have excellent communication skills, and a willingness to support the purposes of the church.
