Job Description

Overview JL Entertainment Designs is seeking a motivated and experienced Lead A/V Technician to join our growing team in Chester County. Join our dynamic team and become a vital part of delivering seamless audio-visual experiences across a variety of residential and professional settings. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of AV systems. This is a field-based, customer-facing leadership role. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment where your skills make a real impact. Duties Lead installation teams on residential and commercial AV and smart technology projects Assemble, install, configure, and troubleshoot AV systems and equipment Run, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling Perform rack assembly and equipment organization Configure and troubleshoot routers, WAPs, managed switches, and other peripherals Integrate AV equipment within network environments Troubleshoot system performance issues and perform equipment modifications Lead and mentor junior technicians Maintain project timelines and installation quality standards Train customers on proper use of installed systems Maintain positive client relationships and professional communication Ensure job sites remain clean and organized Manage time effectively including travel and scheduling Install, configure, and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment Perform routine maintenance on AV hardware and software to ensure optimal performance. Manage cabling and low voltage wiring for AV systems while adhering to electrical safety standards. Conduct field service visits to client sites for system setup, upgrades, repairs, and troubleshooting. Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to assemble or repair AV components as needed. Troubleshoot software issues related to AV control systems and computer hardware integration to resolve operational problems swiftly. Assist with telecommunication setups involving audio/video integration for conference rooms or event spaces. Experience 1-3 years Proven experience in the audio visual technology industry Knowledge of audio, video, surveillance systems and wired/wireless networks. Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and control. Background in field service operations with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently on-site. Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and computer hardware troubleshooting. Hands-on experience using hand tools for installation and maintenance tasks. Knowledge of telecommunication systems and electrical safety standards is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues quickly. $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
