Audio/Video Technician Location:
Milford, PA - Callicoon, NY area

Role:
Forte Lighting & Sound is seeking a hard-working, detail-oriented Audio/Video Technician to join our team servicing high-end weddings and corporate events across the Milford-Callicoon region. We're looking for someone local who takes pride in their work, shows up early, and doesn't make excuses. If you love the event environment, can think on your feet, and hold yourself to a high standard, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Assist with setup, operation, and teardown of professional audio and video systems for weddings, corporate events, and private productions. Read and interpret run-of-show documents to plan and execute event timelines independently. Work efficiently both solo and as part of a small crew to meet tight deadlines. Maintain equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and make real-time adjustments as needed. Ensure consistent quality and professionalism at every event. Support weekend (Friday-Sunday) event schedules, with some weekday corporate events as needed.
Requirements:
Proven reliability — late arrivals are not accepted ; being early is being on time. Strong ear for audio quality and understanding of signal flow. Tech-savvy mindset with familiarity in sound systems, video setups, and event coordination. Ability to lift and transport gear, work long hours when needed, and maintain a positive attitude. Excellent communication skills and self-management capabilities. Weekend availability is essential.
Preferred Experience:
Prior experience in live event production, AV setup, or stage tech work. Knowledge of professional audio consoles, projection systems, or lighting rigs. Driver's license and reliable transportation.
Schedule:
Primarily weekends (Friday-Saturday events, with occasional Sunday mornings and midweek corporate work).
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate based on experience, with opportunities for growth and additional training.
