- Description
- The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking an experienced AV Support Technician to join their growing Audio Visual team.
Key Responsibilities:
AV Event & Meeting Support (Primary Focus) Provide white-glove support for meetings, executive sessions, and clinical events Assist with meeting kickoffs, monitoring sessions, and troubleshooting live issues Support large-scale meetings and auditorium events, ensuring seamless execution Manage AV needs such as microphones (lapel/handheld), conferencing systems, and room setup AV Troubleshooting & Break/Fix Diagnose and resolve AV hardware and system issues across conference rooms and event spaces Support escalated AV issues from desktop/floor support teams Perform proactive maintenance (reboots, system checks, performance optimization) Technology & Systems Support Work within a primarily Cisco and Extron AV environment Troubleshoot AV components including displays, control systems, and conferencing equipment Coordinate with vendors for advanced repairs, programming, or system upgrades Room Refresh & Projects Participate in annual AV refresh initiatives (updating conference rooms and systems) Assist with installations, upgrades, and validation of AV solutions Partner with vendors on larger deployments and ensure quality delivery Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination Act as a liaison between clinical/business stakeholders and AV vendors Help translate technical requirements for non-technical users Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and support models Team & Operational Support Collaborate with AV team members and broader IT support teams Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement Support occasional after-hours or early-morning events (minimal and shared across team)- Skills

- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Required Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on Audio Visual (AV) support experience Experience supporting live meetings/events in corporate, healthcare, or enterprise environments Strong troubleshooting skills across AV hardware and systems Familiarity with common AV components (displays, microphones, control systems, conferencing tools) Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work onsite full-time and collaborate closely with stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience with Cisco AV solutions (Webex Rooms, conferencing hardware, etc.

- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
