AV Support Technician

Hartford Funds has an exciting opportunity for a skilled AV support technician to deliver a high-quality AV experience to our employees. The ideal candidate will have a service-oriented mindset and be well-equipped to work under pressure, ensuring top notch execution of large town hall events and executive meetings. Through careful planning and routine maintenance, the technician will deliver a consistent AV experience to all employees to ensure collaboration is seamless.

Responsibilities:

Event Setup & Operation Configure and operate audio, video, and conference room systems for corporate events, town halls, and executive meetings. Ensure proper signal flow and connectivity across AV components. Provide technical expertise for Microsoft Teams and WebEx platforms Troubleshoot platform issues during live sessions. Conference Room Technology Support Perform necessary health checks on integrated conference room systems Troubleshoot issues with technology as they arise in a professional and efficient manner Perform upgrades and installation of technology within the environment. Collaboration & Communication White-glove service with event organizers, IT teams, and external vendors to align technical requirements. Offer real-time support and problem resolution during events. Equipment Management Maintain AV inventory and ensure equipment readiness. Perform routine proactive maintenance and escalate repair needs promptly. Support and troubleshooting for studio hardware/software and related AV needs Provide consulting, setup, and troubleshooting support for Studio audio/video equipment and configurations. Studio & Production Support Support live video calls and recording sessions from the Studio, including Teams and other video platforms. Capture recordings for Training Room and Home Office events using in-room equipment or portable cameras, and support self-service video room usage and basic editing/sharing tools.

Qualifications:

Hands-on experience with audio systems (microphones, mixers, amplifiers), video systems (cameras, switchers, projectors), and lighting systems (fixtures, control boards). Familiarity with Poly conferencing systems and AV signal flow. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 3+ years of experience with streaming platforms and hybrid event technologies. Knowledge of AV control systems and networking basics. Experience supporting and administrating AV Conference Rooms solutions Teams Admin Center, Poly Lens Experience with Proactive monitoring of Microsoft Teams Rooms and associated hardware in web-based admin portals (Poly Lens, Teams Admin Center) Proactive resolution of associated alerts using established policies and best practices for room management Experience with Blackmagic is a plus AV Production experience is a plus Experience with the following AV equipment is desired:

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and transport AV equipment (up to 50 lbs.). Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Compensation The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
