Job brief:
The Lead Technician will provide oversight of technicians assigned to their service calls or projects, including task assignments, leading, coaching, and developing the technical staff to be the most respected workforce in the industry. Installation/Service Technicians are expected to perform the same work duties as all other Technicians while they are not leading, managing, organizing, or communicating with customers. This position will also be responsible for promoting and adhering to company and industry standards for Installation, Commissioning and Quality Control to fulfill and exceed customer expectations. This person will be responsible for completion of entire service call or projects or assigned portions of projects in a timely and responsible manner, while providing leadership and technical support to projects as needed. Additionally, the Installation/Service Technician is responsible for managing customer relationships at sites by providing professional, courteous support always. AV Lead Installation / Service Technician Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor an install crew while ensuring high quality workmanship and reliability in a timely manner. Prepare load out for the team the day before. Delegating tasks amongst the rest of the AV technician team. Provide risk assessment on site. Provide timely feedback to the rest of the team using tablet/smart phone, etc. - effective communication. Interpret CAD drawings, scope, BOM including learning about the components being installed. Problem solving and troubleshooting of any issue that may arise during an installation. Interaction with clients, general contractors, electrical contractors, etc. Demonstrate how to work efficiently and prioritize. Wire equipment racks, install projectors, screens, TV, speakers, control systems, DSP. Conduct thorough unit testing and integration testing for the entire system. Daily site reports with pictures (before and after, if possible) in D-Tools or IAuditor. Service calls, maintain good client relations, quote, and sell accessories. Responsible for daily site reports with photos. Physically installing, servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting all types of commercial, audio, video and satellite systems, and drive-thru technology at client works sites. Responsibilities include working indoors and outdoors; working at heights, getting tools and equipment to/from, and working on/in rooftops, ceilings, crawl spaces and other tight or difficult spaces using ladders and other devices; and testing/diagnosing systems to insure all is in proper working order all in accordance with company safety requirements. Resolving system problems for clients in a timely, efficient, and professional manner. Participating in training provided by the company or through the company as required and obtaining/ maintaining licenses and/or certifications as required by local or state mandates to perform company work. Maintaining, using, and operating company vehicles and equipment in a safe and secure manner, advising management of any problems with the vehicle or other equipment immediately to facilitate repair and adhering to company policy with regard such equipment and driving practices. This may involve long periods of driving to client locations. Perform cable pull paths, diagnosis structural/room interior for efficient and optimum installations, crimp and terminate audio and video cables (according to project drawings) Install and configure video conferencing system including. Assist with structural installation of displays, screens, and projectors (according to project drawings). Maintain daily communication with Lead Installation Technician, Project Manager and Operations Manager on status of projects and task lists. Travel to off-site locations as part as installation as required. Participate in industry training sessions, seminars and conventions as required. Maintain professional work appearance and outstanding customer interaction. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer. Make sure to have everything you will need for installation the day or night before going out to the job site. Perform equipment additions, removals, repairs, replacements, and inspections. Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions. Remote and/or onsite troubleshooting and diagnosis of reported issues on existing systems Replacement, repair and reprogramming or equipment as required. Installation, configuration, and testing of components according to company quality standards Assembly, wiring, and installation of equipment racks and wiring harnesses Programming and commissioning of various systems as assigned. Ensure timely completion of assigned service orders. When on-site take photos of the equipment's, current status as well as photos after the service call has been completed. Complete site report and submit photos. Audio DSP platforms (Examples:

AMX, Crestron, Extron) Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet) Ability to setup, test, calibrate, and commission audio visual equipment and devices as required to produce fully functional audio-visual systems.
