This role ensures products are built accurately, shipped on schedule, installed correctly, and supported effectively in the field. Success in this position requires strong mechanical aptitude, experience with tools and low-voltage AV systems, clear communication, and flexibility to travel as needed. Core Responsibilities Mechanical Assemblies Assemble standard Dynapac rotating units, including gearcases, motors, belts, pulleys, bearings, and wiring Inspect, package, and prepare finished products for shipment, including crate construction and shipment setup Use company systems for communication, documentation, work instructions, and basic updates PLC programming knowledge is preferred Special Projects Support special projects under the direction of the Special Projects Manager in coordination with engineering Assemble custom projects on the shop floor based on engineering designs Obtain and maintain UL Panel 508A MTR certification Program and configure motor controllers, PLCs, VFDs, and related control devices Develop proficiency in ladder logic, DMX, and related control systems Build and document custom control boxes, wiring diagrams, user instructions, and related technical materials Travel for installation, commissioning, and on-site maintenance of special motion projects as needed Communicate issues promptly to engineering or project management and maintain an organized work area AV Systems Install, configure, and troubleshoot audiovisual systems, including displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, cameras, curtain operators, and control systems Manage low-voltage cabling, including Cat5e, Cat6, fiber, coaxial, and control wiring Perform cable termination, including crimping, soldering, and splicing Build and install equipment racks and related AV infrastructure Interpret construction drawings, AV schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams Support commissioning, testing, digital signage, and video wall installations as needed Technical Support Respond to customer inquiries and coordinate technical support activities Maintain accurate records of support activity Provide remote support by phone, email, or chat to troubleshoot product and installation issues Educate customers on products and recommend appropriate solutions Escalate complex technical issues to engineering when needed Maintain a professional, safe, and team-oriented work environment Installation and Travel Travel for installations and support is expected one to two times per month, as needed Follow on-site supervision and installation directions accurately, including in confined or hard to-access spaces Safely operate power tools, lifts, scaffolding, and ladders as required Maintain timely communication with customers and internal teams regarding schedules, changes, and issues Coordinate installation schedules through the company Outlook calendar and communicate changes with the Dynapac team Make every reasonable effort to complete installations within project timelines; occasional extra hours may be required Perform other duties as assigned
