General Description The Video Specialist is an integral part of the Worship & Production team at Community Presbyterian Church of Danville. This role is responsible for leading the production and execution of all camera/video content for CPC s livestream and in service events. The Video Specialist will also lead and develop volunteers, fostering a culture of creativity and spiritual formation. Responsibilities Sunday Service Production & Execution Partner with Service and Worship Directors to create cohesive and excellent service environment Serve as video director for Sunday services and large events Responsible for all in-service video and live stream quality control and troubleshooting Setup/teardown and position cameras for services Provide real-time, in-service leadership and support for volunteers Film live worship services and events with excellence and creativity, coordinating with production and worship teams Assist with any audio, lighting, and production tasks when needed Weekly Production Responsible for recruiting, developing and training volunteers (camera ops, directing) Assist/Lead with weekly CPC ministries and events during the week. (setup, teardown & running) Operate and maintain all video equipment (cameras, lenses, lighting, audio for video, etc.) and ensure quality control. Rostering volunteers for worship services three weeks in advance Setting up and inventorying gear/equipment for dept Edit and post-produce videos using professional software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut Pro). Attend production and regular creative meetings as well as mandatory staff training (Service Planning Meeting, production team meeting, etc.) Stay current on trends in video, church media, and digital storytelling. Propose new formats and ideas to better reach and engage our community. Explore ways to use video in worship, teaching, testimony, and outreach to deepen impact Responsible for video organization, B role and filming for the Communications department, 8 hours per week Physical Requirements Able to crawl in tight spaces, operate lift equipment, operate construction tools and equipment Able to safely operate live action equipment, including up and down stairs and multi-level staging Moderate physical activity. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and/or standing and/or walking an average of 4 hours a day Able to climb a ladder to ceiling grid, insert ends of cables or ropes through ceiling grid, and attaches cables to scenery, curtains, equipment, support pipes, and counterbalance weights Drives infrequently to various locations to support CPC ministries with video as well as audio and tech support when needed; includes loading, setting up, operating and breaking down equipment Qualifications Proven, effective experience in the vision, production and execution of all camera/video content for large events. Experience with or ability to learn any audio and lighting skills to assist with team needs
