Job Description
Radio Technician We are seeking a skilled Radio Technician to join our team in Akron. As a Radio Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing radio equipment and systems. Your primary task will be to ensure the smooth functioning of our radio communication systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain radio equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues with radio equipment
- Conduct routine inspections to check for proper functioning of equipment
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed
- Test and calibrate equipment as needed
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and advancements in the field of radio communications
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules
- Adhere to safety protocols while working with electrical equipment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, vocational training in electronics preferred
- Experience working with radio equipment is a plus, but not required
- Familiarity with basic electrical principles and circuitry
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Good hand-eye coordination for handling delicate electronic components
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues effectively
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members
