Department:
Broadcast Operations / Camera Support Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and hardworking SkyCam Utility to support live sports broadcast operations for the UFL Birmingham @ Columbus production at Historic Crew Stadium. This role assists the SkyCam and aerial camera department with setup, cable management, rigging support, strike, and general utility needs throughout the production schedule. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced live-event environment, capable of lifting equipment, and able to follow direction from engineering and camera crews.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist SkyCam operators and engineering crew during load-in, setup, and strike
  • Support cable runs, rigging prep, and field-level equipment organization
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas around broadcast compounds and field positions
  • Assist with moving cases, tools, and production gear
  • Communicate effectively with crew leads and production staff
  • Be prepared for long production days and changing schedules
Qualifications:
  • Prior live sports, broadcast, or stagehand experience preferred
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors for extended periods
  • Comfortable working around cables, rigging, and technical equipment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Punctual, professional, and dependable
  • OSHA/rigging awareness is a plus, but not required
  • No fear of heights
