Job Description

Position Summary The Production Technician at WCCTV is responsible for testing, validating, and preparing surveillance equipment for deployment. This role ensures all camera trailers and related equipment are fully functional, properly configured, and ready for field use. The position also supports inventory control, equipment maintenance, and coordination with field and build technicians to meet operational demands in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily testing and validation of camera trailers and equipment prior to deployment
  • Configure systems, including firmware updates and basic troubleshooting of equipment
  • Prepare and stage job-ready equipment to support field and installation teams
  • Track and maintain inventory, ensuring equipment is tested and returned to ready stock
  • Identify and communicate equipment issues, defects, or parts shortages
  • Maintain accurate records and logs for equipment testing and inventory movements
  • Coordinate with operations, field, and build technicians to meet production schedules
  • Ensure equipment is repaired or escalated appropriately when issues are identified
  • Support safety practices and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Act as a point of contact for operational coordination, deliveries, and maintenance needs Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-3 years of relevant technical or production experience
  • Basic to intermediate technical aptitude with ability to test and troubleshoot equipment
  • Experience with firmware updates, diagnostics tools, or equipment testing preferred
  • Proficiency with Excel or basic reporting tools
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely with equipment

Work Environment and Physical Requirements This position operates primarily in a professional office environment and may require occasional travel to company locations. The role requires the ability to remain seated for extended periods and to occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds. This position may also perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational needs.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Do you have experience configuring network-connected devices (e.g., setting IP addresses, connectivity testing, or basic networking)? Are you comfortable using diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, network testers, or software tools) to troubleshoot equipment issues? Have you worked with surveillance systems, CCTV cameras, or similar video monitoring equipment?
