Career ResourcesCandidate Experience Sign Up Join Our Talent Network Freelance Copywriter (Beauty / Culinary CPG) Stamford, CT FreelanceOn-Site$35 - $45 /hr Posted May 15, 2026 Position Overview Our client, a beauty and culinary CPG company, is seeking a Freelance Copywriter (Beauty / Culinary CPG) to join their team for a 6-month engagement, working onsite 5x a week at their Stamford, CT office. This is a 40-hour-per-week role with potential for extension. The team is looking for someone to start the week of May 25. Key Responsibilities Craft clear, compelling copy across CPG workstreams, including: Packaging copy Product descriptions Claims and usage instructions Develop eCommerce PDP content optimized for clarity, SEO, and conversion Support campaign messaging and digital assets across Beauty, Home, and Culinary categories Contribute to tone of voice guidelines and messaging frameworks Maintain consistency across packaging, digital, and retail channels Ensure all copy aligns with regulatory, legal, and brand standards Collaborate closely with Creative Directors, Designers, and cross-functional teams Partner with Brand, Product, and eCommerce teams to ensure accuracy and alignment Participate in creative reviews and clearly articulate copy rationale Reduce rework through meticulous attention to detail Balance high-quality craft with speed to market Ensure messaging consistency across global markets Qualifications 3+ years of copywriting experience in CPG, beauty, home, food, or lifestyle A strong portfolio showcasing: Packaging copy Product storytelling eCommerce writing (PDP, digital content, etc.) Ability to translate product benefits into clear, consumer-friendly messaging Experience collaborating with Creative Directors, Designers, and cross-functional partners Excellent grammar, clarity, and brand voice execution A collaborative, curious mindset with openness to feedback Passion for brand storytelling and consumer-centric writing Strong organizational skills with a calm, solutions-oriented approach Ability to balance creativity with compliance, accuracy, and speed in a deadline-driven environment In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
