This contractor works closely with artists to capture authentic moments, create engaging content, and help build audience engagement through TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other emerging platforms. This role requires a combination of creative storytelling, copywriting, and content production skills, with the flexibility to travel to shows, events, and gigs when needed. Key Responsibilities Create short-form video concepts and scripts for social media platforms. Write captions, story sequences, profile bios, and other brand & artist-facing copy. Capture and develop content that aligns with each artist's brand and voice. Collaborate closely with artists to document performances, behind-the-scenes moments, and day-to-day content opportunities. Travel to concerts, shows, events, and promotional appearances as needed. Edit or assist in editing short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Maintain awareness of current social media trends and apply them strategically to artist growth. Work closely with the Social Media Manager to execute content calendars and campaign initiatives. Ensure all content reflects BPM Music's creative standards and brand guidelines. Contribute ideas and concepts that increase audience engagement and fan connection. Qualifications Strong copywriting and storytelling skills. Experience creating content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Basic to intermediate video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar). Understanding of social media trends and audience behavior. Ability to work directly with artists and maintain professionalism in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Willingness and ability to travel as required. Passion for music and artist development. Preferred Experience Previous experience in music, entertainment, creator economy, or lifestyle brands. Experience filming and editing short-form video content. Familiarity with content analytics and social media performance metrics. Knowledge of emerging trends and platform best practices. The contractor is responsible for determining the methods and manner in which services are performed while collaborating with the Social Media Manager to achieve project objectives. Compensation 1099 Independent Contractor $45-$55 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Expected commitment of approximately 20-30 hours per week. Additional hours may be available based on artist schedules and campaign needs.
