ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Verbal Branding team specializes in bringing strategic thinking to life through compelling language and storytelling—through names, taglines, narratives, voice and messaging, copywriting, and content strategy.Think:
brand writer meets consultant. It's a unique intersection within the industry, and we're hoping to introduce more young talent to it! As a Verbal Branding Summer Associate, you'll join our team for a 10-week program, where you'll not only be introduced to our verbal practice, but also how verbal identity is key to the strategies we build and the stories we tell for our clients and their customers. You'll collaborate with a variety of people across our organization. On any given project, you'll work alongside leadership, managers, strategists, as well as experts from our design, experience, insights, and digital teams. Together, we'll help you cultivate a true understanding of our unique approach to consulting and develop the skills to get it done.YOUR DAY TO DAY
While every day will be different, you can expect to: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to conduct audits and desktop research to formulate insightful and actionable recommendations for our clients. Generate creative ideas—from ideating name candidates for a new hotel brand to creating voice persona options for a financial services leader to writing UX copy for a new wellness player. Participate in problem-solving sessions with a broad team of consultants and specialists, using both Analytical and creative techniques to create compelling solutions. Present findings or share your point of view to internal team members or clients. Contribute to, and participate in, internal initiatives within the firm including IP development, Verbal Branding-specific training, and ongoing educational sessions. Participate in Prophet Impact initiatives, from crafting compelling storytelling tools for one of our non-profit clients to volunteering on-site with community partners. Experience Prophet culture at the local office level through events such as: class gatherings, office wide social outings, and holiday celebrations.WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING A
strong educational or experiential foundation: we're looking for graduating Seniors or Graduate students with strong demonstrated academic performance. Degrees in Advertising, Business, Strategic/Business Journalism, English, Public Relations, Linguistics and Creative Writing preferred.WHAT WE LOOK FOR
Well-developed problem-solving skills, and creative thinking Superior writing and communication skills Knowledge of, and passion for, brand, digital, and marketing strategy; and, how they impact business outcomes Confusion tolerance and flexibility—feeling comfortable with ambiguity, with the ability to adapt, flex, and change directions given client, project, and team circumstances A curious mind with an unrelenting commitment to get to the answer, to test new approaches, learn new skills, and push others' assumptions Knowledge of, or experience with, digital analytics and AI tools The ability to work independently in a fast paced and dynamic environment, with the guidance and oversight of Prophet colleagues A team player who can enhance team success and culture through active participation in internal and external client project teams Prophet has a hybrid working model that requires interns to be in office 4 days per week in our Austin, New York, Chicago or San Francisco offices. Interns are paid at a weekly rate ranging from $1200 - 1650/ week. Prophet is an equal opportunity employer.
