FreelanceHybrid$45 - $50 /hr Posted May 07, 2026 Our Financial Services client is seeking a Digital Designer / Art Director to join their team for the next 12 months, 40 hours/week. This role is hybrid onsite 4 days a week in Austin, TX. Role Summary
The Digital Designer will contribute to the creative production of digital work across the organization, ensuring visual quality, clarity, and consistency across platforms. This role collaborates closely with designers, writers, strategists, and cross functional partners to create thoughtful, engaging creative that supports brand and business goals. The ideal candidate combines strong visual design skills with strategic thinking and a passion for digital first storytelling. Top Must Have Skills Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and modern digital design tools
Demonstrated experience creating digital first creative across multiple channels
Ability to develop clear visual systems and cohesive user experiences
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
A portfolio showcasing strong visual craft, creativity, and digital thinking Additional Qualifications Bachelor degree in Design, Visual Arts, or a related field
3 to 5 years of digital design experience in an agency or in house environment
Experience partnering with cross functional teams including copywriters, developers, and strategists
Strong problem solving skills with the ability to apply feedback, data, and user insights
Comfortable presenting creative work to stakeholders and incorporating feedback
Self motivated, curious, and eager to learn from peers, partners, and industry trends
Willingness to experiment, learn from mistakes, and continuously improve Responsibilities Lead UI concepting and execution of digital first creative work across channels
Translate concepts into clear, compelling visual systems and experiences
Maintain and evolve brand standards across digital touchpoints
Partner with copywriters, designers, and developers to deliver cohesive storytelling and user experiences
Stay current on digital design trends, tools, and best practices and apply them effectively
Design across a range of formats including video, email, websites, and social media
Produce high quality work with strong attention to detail and thoughtful self review
Apply strategic thinking to solve marketing challenges using user insights and data
Present work clearly and collaborate with stakeholders to refine creative output In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including financial information. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
