We're searching for an exceptional Director of Production to lead the next chapter of our production department's growth. The Opportunity As Director of Production, you will oversee and lead PMC Media Group's entire production operation, directing a growing team of producers, editors, cinematographers, photographers, drone operators, and creative collaborators. You will play a critical role in shaping the creative vision, operational efficiency, profitability, quality standards, and future growth of the department. This is both a leadership position and a hands-on production role. You will storyboard. You will direct. You will produce. You will edit. You will lead. You will inspire. And most importantly, you will ensure every project that leaves PMC reflects the world-class standards our clients have come to expect. You will work directly with the CEO and COO to develop strategic initiatives that expand production revenue, increase profitability, improve operational efficiencies, and continue elevating PMC's reputation as one of the most respected creative and production agencies in the country. What You'll Be Responsible For Creative Leadership & Storytelling Lead the creative development of cinematic productions across commercial, documentary, social media, branded content, corporate communications, television, streaming, and digital campaigns. Develop compelling story structures that transform information into emotionally resonant experiences. Direct on-location productions throughout the United States. Build production concepts that align with both brand strategy and measurable business objectives. Elevate creative quality across every deliverable while continuously pushing innovation and storytelling excellence. Production Management Oversee all phases of production from concept development through final delivery. Develop production schedules, crew plans, equipment requirements, budgets, and timelines. Manage multiple concurrent productions while maintaining exceptional quality standards. Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest level of execution. Lead national and regional productions that may require extensive travel throughout the year. Editing Excellence Serve as a senior-level editor responsible for producing world-class finished content. Maintain mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro and other sophisticated editing platforms. Lead color correction, audio enhancement, motion graphics integration, pacing, narrative development, and post-production workflows. Establish editing standards and quality control processes across the department. Provide mentorship and guidance to editors while remaining highly hands-on in post-production. Team Leadership Lead, mentor, inspire, and develop a growing production team. Build a culture of accountability, positivity, collaboration, and excellence. Create clear expectations and performance standards. Identify opportunities to improve workflows, communication, efficiency, and output quality. Bring professionalism, emotional intelligence, and zero drama to the workplace. Business Strategy & Department Growth Partner with executive leadership to drive production department growth. Develop strategies that increase production revenue and profitability. Assist in proposal development, budgeting, forecasting, pricing models, and resource planning. Identify opportunities to expand services, improve margins, and enhance operational performance. Ensure the production department operates as both a creative powerhouse and a high-performing business unit. Qualifications 7-10+ years of professional production experience. Proven experience producing, directing, and editing high-end cinematic content. Extensive portfolio demonstrating exceptional storytelling, editing, cinematography, and production leadership capabilities. Experience leading creative teams and managing multiple production professionals. Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume, high-velocity production environments. Strong business acumen and understanding of project profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and operational management. Exceptional organizational and project management skills. Ability to balance creative excellence with speed, efficiency, and execution. Experience developing commercial productions, television spots, streaming campaigns, social content, branded storytelling, and documentary-style productions. Food service, restaurant, hospitality, specialty food, beverage, and culinary production experience is highly desirable. Experience working with national brands and multi-location organizations is strongly preferred. Strong communication and client presentation skills. Ability to travel extensively as required.
