Job Description

This is a part-time position within the Anaheim Ducks Marketing Department. The Street Team is an energetic group of brand ambassadors who are passionate about and committed to promoting the Anaheim Ducks Hockey Club. Their primary responsibility is to represent the Anaheim Ducks brand at home games and a variety of community events. Often, the first touchpoint with the Club for people in our community, Street Team members must be upbeat and outgoing individuals with a strong work ethic who possess the ability to interact with all types of people. Responsibilities Create engaging activations at events throughout the community, including assembling and disassembling simple promo booths and providing entertainment for attendees, such as games and raffles Host official Ducks Watch Parties at local restaurants and bars Assist at all giveaways and theme nights during the Ducks home game schedule Encourage data collection through enter-to-win activations at various events Incite energy during games as part of the in-arena experience by starting chants, waving flags and signs, and generally hyping up fans Engage with Ducks fans, staff, and partners in a variety of circumstances, driving positive association with the brand through a service-oriented mindset Manage promotional item inventory alongside other members and the Assistant Manager, Marketing & Promotions Utilize and maintain the cleanliness of team promotional vehicles Identify new events and authentic opportunities for the Street Team calendar Safely operate a company promotional vehicle as part of the overall function of the role, including the delivery/pick up of marketing items & equipment to and from event locations and the ability to travel as needed to attend offsite events. These activities are essential for executing and managing Ducks promotional events effectively Perform other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous marketing, promotional, and/or event experience preferred Experience working for a college or professional sports team is a plus Confidence in public speaking or emceeing is highly preferred Proficiency in Spanish is a plus Passion for and understanding of sports, particularly hockey, the Anaheim Ducks, and the Orange County community is preferred Familiarity with working in fast-paced, public-facing environments is helpful Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills Outgoing and comfortable initiating conversations with strangers Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills, with a strong work ethic Service-oriented mindset with the ability to engage and interact effectively and professionally with guests and staff Problem-solving skills suited for a dynamic, fast-paced sports landscape Regular attendance is expected at all Anaheim Ducks home games, team events, and various third-party and community events throughout the year, including the off-season Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required Able to stand for prolonged periods and lift and carry up to 40 pounds Willing and able to work in outdoor conditions and adapt to any public venue Knowledge, Skills and Experience Education - High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience Required - 0-1 Year This position is on-site.
