Boca Raton:
a 2,000-gallon shark tank, twin 700-gallon reef tanks, a nano reef, and a seahorse sanctuary — built around one mission: making ocean learning fun, free, and accessible for families. We're hiring the person who brings it to life. You'll lead tours, host our weekly shark feedings, run kids' programming, and star in our videos — turning every visit into the best 25 minutes of a kid's week.
And the timing is special:
our shark tank is in the middle of a major upgrade, and you'll help us relaunch it.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead guided tours of the shark tank, reef tanks, nano reef, and seahorse sanctuary for families, kids, and walk-in guests Host our Thursday 4 PM shark feeding shows (returning soon, bigger than before) Run kid-focused programming: storytimes, games, livestreams, and school/camp group visits Be the on-camera face of the aquarium: educational videos, Reels, and TikToks with our social media team Welcome guests alongside our front-of-house team and keep viewing areas spotless Learn the systems from our tank manager (feedings, water testing, habitat care) with a real growth path into hands-on husbandry
WHO YOU ARE
Must-haves:
A natural storyteller who lights up around kids and can hold a room of adults Genuinely comfortable on camera (this is core to the role, not a footnote) Polished and professional — the aquarium lives inside a luxury showroom Reliable, punctual, coachable, with Saturday availability
Nice-to-haves:
Background in marine biology, zoology, education, hospitality, or guest experience Reef tank hobbyist, scuba diver, aquarium volunteer/docent, camp counselor, or teacher Bilingual (English/Spanish) We can teach you the reef. We can't teach charisma.
WHY THIS JOB IS DIFFERENT
Sundays off. No nights.
We run on store hours:
Monday-Saturday, 10 AM-5 PM. Paid saltwater experience. Most marine-science grads volunteer for years to work with systems like these. You'll be seen: live cams, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram. This role builds a public, on-camera portfolio. Small team, real ownership. You ARE the guest experience here — not badge #47 at a mega-aquarium. DETAILS Full-time, on-site: 2801 N Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33431 $20-$25 per hour, based on experience On your feet for extended periods; occasional lifting up to about 30 lbs
