Trainee / Event Roadie | JP Entertainment | North Idaho & Spokane Area JP Entertainment is a professional DJ, MC, and live music company based in Post Falls, ID serving weddings and events across North Idaho and Eastern Washington. We're looking for one motivated individual to join our team — starting as a paid roadie and working toward becoming a fully booked DJ under our brand.

Service Area:

Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, Spokane, Sandpoint, and surrounding areas (occasional travel up to 1-2 hours)

COMPENSATION

Roadie/Training Phase:

$20/hr or set rate per event Once trained and booking independently: ~$500 per wedding This is a real opportunity to learn the trade from the ground up and eventually get paid well doing something you love.

SCHEDULE

Primarily weekends (occasional weekdays possible in the future) Events are often long days — expect mid-afternoon load-in through midnight or later This is not a 9-to-5. This is side-gig work. If your weekends are tied up or late nights don't work for you, this isn't the right fit.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Help load, set up, and tear down DJ and sound equipment at weddings and events Shadow our lead DJ and learn the craft hands-on Eventually take the mic, run the music, and own the dance floor yourself

REQUIREMENTS

Must own a personal laptop (non-negotiable) Strong, well-rounded music knowledge across genres — Top 40, hip hop, country, classics, oldies, you name it Natural personality — you need to be able to work a crowd, hype a dance floor, and MC moments like first dances and introductions Reliable transportation and ability to work weekends and long event days Professional attitude — we work weddings, so appearance and conduct matter

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE

Your own DJ controller or deck Prior DJ or MC experience (hobby or professional) Experience with Rekordbox, Serato, or similar software A passion for music and live events

BACKGROUND CHECK
